Mediterranean 2009 - Athens to Rome aboard the Azamara Quest : This trip was a very pleasant 2 week Mediterranean cruise aboard the Azamara Quest July 26, 2009 to Auugust 9, 2009. We sailed from Athens, Greece to Rome, Italy. Our ports after leaving Athens were; Volos, Greece - Chios, Greece(didn't make port due to high winds) - Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey - Bodrum, Turkey - Santorini, Greece - Valletta, Malta - Taormina, Sicily - Sorrento, Italy - Olbia, Sardinia - Florence/Pisa, Italy - Rome, Italy

Ecuador - 2009 : We left for our Galapagos Islands cruise a few days early so we could have a little more time to see some of Ecuador. We arrived in Quito on April 14 and spent the night at the Radisson. The next morning we went by taxi to Otavalo where we stayed at the Ali Shungu Hotel (great place). In addition to the Indian market in Otavalo which was only a few blocks from our hotel, we visited several other great sites using a private taxi that was arranged by the hotel. All in all a great prelude to the cruise. After we returned to Quito we joined up with our fellow cruisers at the JW Marriott as part of the 10 day Xpedition cruise package.

It was cold, very windy, hard rain (typical English summer day :( ) so we never left the ship. The white cliffs of Dover were very gray. We were going to take a train to Canterbury but it will have to wait for another trip.

Kruger National Park - South Africa - 2006 : We are back from our fantastic three-week trip to South Africa and finally over the accompanying jet lag. This was one of the most memorable trips we have taken. We shot about 4000 photos plus some video. It will be several weeks before we get them edited and posted on our website. French Polynesia Cruises- 2000 and 2001 - On the R3 : Of our many trips, this cruise in French Polynesia ranks among our very top experiences. Our 2000 French Polynesia cruise was so good that we repeated it in 2001. On both trips we flew from Los Angeles to Papeete Tahiti and boarded the Renaissance R3 for a 10 day cruise. From Tahiti we sailed to Moorea, Huahine, Raiatea, Bora Bora, and back to Tahiti. Words can't describe the beauty of the islands and their wonderful beaches and motus. The snorkeling was superb. It just doesn't get any better than a trip like this.
